Concrete Washout Systems, Inc. Expansion Moves Eastward Into Florida
January 07, 2005
Atlantic Concrete Washout, Inc., a start-up company specifically formed to distribute and service the CWS, will begin servicing the southeast portion of Florida at the beginning of 2005. “During the last month, we hit the ground armed with a technology that has not been seen on the east coast. The industry and regulatory professionals that we have spoken with are very receptive of the new service we will be introducing and are excited to finally have a solution to a problem that has been plaguing the industry for years,” stated Ted Honcharik, President of Atlantic Concrete Washout, Inc. “Our initial focus will be within the southeastern counties and have high expectations for growth with the tremendous reception we have received,” added Mr. Honcharik. “We are very excited to have Atlantic Concrete Washout on board and operating on the east coast and specifically in Florida.” stated Kevin Mickelson, Vice President of Concrete Washout Systems, Inc. “ACWI has stepped into a fast growing market in an area of the Nation that has not seen the technology and service we offer. With the tremendous interest developing due to state and regional stormwater and waste diversion regulations, ACWI will be providing a much needed risk management solution,” added Mr. Mickelson. CWS is currently seeking licensed partners in numerous markets across the nation. Each partner will own and operate a Concrete Washout Systems business in their designated region, where they will be responsible for all aspects of the business. The patent pending CWS is a portable, self-contained and watertight bin that controls, captures and contains concrete washout material and wastewater. It allows trade personnel to easily washout concrete trucks, pumps and equipment on site and facilitates easy off site recycling of the same concrete materials and wastewater, while protecting the storm drain system from potential illegal discharges. The off site recycling component creates an even more environmentally sound application as concrete material is diverted away from landfills and recycled. This system replaces other outdated washout BMP’s, which are costly, unsightly and damaging to the environment since their containment value diminishes, due to inherently faulty material, over use and lack of maintenance.
